		<description><![CDATA[Description<br/><br/>This is a limited tenure position that has been approved for 6-18 months that may have the possibility of turning into a regular position. The Mayo Clinic Special Purpose Processor Development Group (SPPDG) is in need of a Senior Engineer to perform power integrity engineering tasks such as design of power delivery networks (PDNs), creation of design rules for PDNs, critical review of PDN designs. Documentation of findings in report and presentation formats is required. Candidate must be proficient in the use of software applications such as MS Office (documentation), CAD tools (schematic capture, layout review), HSPICE (frequency-domain analysis of PDNs). Candidates should have at least three of the following skills: knowledge of state-of-the-art PDN technology; the ability to locate and identify appropriate performance and model information; the ability to create design rules for systems to conform to generally accepted power integrity practices; the ability to create design rules for printed circuit boards and IC packages to conform to accepted practices; the ability to critically examine designs for systems, PCBs and IC packages to determine weaknesses in regard to accepted practices; the ability to perform laboratory characterization of PDNs and components; the ability to create frequency-domain simulation models of IC packages starting with layout databases; the ability to develop, implement energy efficiency practices in PDNs. Provide clinical and technical support to doctors, allied health staff in the operation of the MCSD, including emergent evaluation of clinical and technical problems and development of solutions.
