The Surgical Coding Team Leader will be responsible for coding professional and facility services at the clinic and hospital. Adheres to Medicare and other governmental rules and regulations. Provides education/support to Revenue Coordinators and physician staff. Must be able to abstract accurately from medical records. Functions as a Team Lead.

Department: Patient Financial Services Operations

Qualifications: Associates Degree in a healthcare related program with a minimum of one of the following credentials: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS. Strong Surgical Coding background required. Supervisory experience preferred. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
