The Inpatient Coding Team Leader will be responsible for coding professional and facility services at the clinic and hospital. Adheres to Medicare and other governmental rules and regulations. Provides education/support to Revenue Coordinators and physician staff. Must be able to abstract accurately from medical records. The Team Leader provides leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, community involvement, and committee work.

Department: Patient Financial Services Operations - Coding

Qualifications: Associates Degree in a healthcare related program with a minimum of one of the following credentials: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS. Strong Surgical Coding background required. Supervisory experience preferred. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
