Position Summary: A postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately for translational genomic based studies of breast carcinomas with an emphasis on triple negative breast cancer. We utilize solid tissue flow cytometry and advanced genomic methods with clinical samples and model systems including cell lines and patient derived xenografts for these studies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an established multi-disciplinary team of investigators including clinicians, biostatisticians, and cancer biologists. Candidates should hold a PhD and/or MD and have a research background in cancer biology and genomics. This position will require strong writing and analytical skills. Past experience with generating and analyzing large data sets and the use of informatic tools for whole genome interrogations is preferred. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and demonstrate a passion for science, innovative thinking and the ability to work independently and effectively.

Responsibilities: A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. 800146; J2WRTP

Qualifications: Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
