NP or PA - Transplant (BMT) Job

This challenging and dynamic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team as part of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Service. The NP or PA will work in collaboration with consultants and fellows and will be responsible for care of adult inpatients on the BMT service, as well as hospital outpatients requiring follow-up on the BMT unit. The NP/PA will address patients' immediate medical and education needs, as well as assist in follow-up care when patients return home. This position offers the opportunity to be proficient in excellent care for Blood and Marrow Transplant patients as well as utilization of a variety of internal medicine skills. The NP/PA will work with a high level of autonomy with a group of patients who have hematologic malignancies and a wide range of comorbidities.

Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as a ANP, FNP, or ACNP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date.) Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire. Must be eligible for DEA registration. Experience in blood and marrow transplant, hematology, oncology, internal medicine or acute care preferred.

Hours/2-Weeks: Full - Time
Schedule: Monday - Sunday; variable combination of 12 and 24 hour shifts. Shifts are: 6am-6pm, 7:30am-7:30pm, 6am-6am. Approximately 1 out of 4 weekends. 3 holidays per year.
Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights
Building: Eisenberg Building, Floor 9
Salary: Salaried ~ Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary per 2 week pay period is approximately $3008.00 based on a fulltime position.
