Physical Therapist Ass't (Supplemental) Job

Description
Physical therapist assistants provide physical therapy services to patients with illness or disabling conditions to maximize functional independence in collaboration with the licensed physical therapist. The physical therapist assistant provides intervention and education to appropriate patients after the initial therapy evaluation and intervention are completed by the licensed physical therapist. The physical therapist assistant works closely with the patient, family and other members of a physician-led team in providing individualized patient care. The physical therapist assistant assists with department and program planning.(001825)
Department: Pain Medicine & Rehabilitation
Basic Qualifications: Associate degree in applied science from a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Current Mayo Clinic employees are asked to attach 3 most recent performance evaluations in order to be considered for this position.

Schedule: Supplemental staff have no regular work schedule but work as available and as needed according to patient demand

Salary: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $17.31 per hour.
