This challenging and dynamic Physician Assistant position will have a primary focus on collaboratively managing the full spectrum of neurosurgical patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings, including complex patients in the Neuro Critical Care Unit and the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include managing follow-up patients using protocol-driven treatment strategies, assisting with surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the physician, assisting the physician with management of prescription refills and returning patient telephone calls. The incumbent will work closely with the consultants, chief residents, residents, PAs, nurse practitioners and nursing staff of the Department of Neurologic Surgery. This position functions with a high level of autonomy with a group of patients who have a wide range of neurologic comorbidities. (007208)

Basic Qualifications: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (or eligible). Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
