Description
Occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) provide occupational therapy services to patients with illness or disabling conditions to maximize functional independence. The OTA works in collaboration with a licensed occupational therapist to plan, provide intervention and education to appropriate patients. The OTA works closely with the patient, family and other members of a physician-led team in providing individualized patient care. The OTA assists with department and program planning. Current Mayo Clinic employees are asked to attach 3 most recent performance evaluations in order to be considered for this position. (001802)
Department: Pain Medicine & Rehabilitation
Basic Qualifications: A.S. in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Other Qualifications: Complies with necessary continuing education requirements to maintain state licensure.
