Nurse Practitioner NP or PA-Primary Care (Long-Term Care)[Supp] Job

Description
Nurse practitioners or Physician Assistants in Primary Care Internal Medicine provide primary care to the long term care population in Olmsted County. We are seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to supplement our team or nurse practitioners in the long term care setting. This position will involve providing acute, chronic and preventive services to our local nursing home patients. Provision of care includes but is not limited to physical assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments, non-pharmacologic therapies, and counseling patients.
Department: Primary Care Internal Medicine
Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as a GNP, FNP, or ANP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date.) Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. BLS certification required. DEA registration will be required. Please submit resume and 2-3 letters of reference.
