The primary focus of this position will be to collaboratively manage patients with chronic headache disorders with the Department of Neurology. This will include supporting the headache practice by seeing new consultations for patients with primary headache disorders, collaboratively managing follow-up headache patients using a protocol-driven treatment strategy, returning patient telephone calls, assisting the physician with management of prescription refills, and administering botulinum toxin for primary headache disorders in a structured procedural clinic. Department: Neurology Headache Clinic
Basic Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license (or eligible) and certification (or eligible to be certified) as a ANP, FNP, ACNP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date). Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (or eligible). Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
