LADC Supervisor - Psychiatry & Psychology Job

Description
The Supervisor provides leadership, direction and resource management for licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADC's) and is responsible for their clinical competence ensuring licensure and professional development. This will involve mentoring individuals to achieve professional growth, providing information on continuing educational opportunities for licensure maintenance and providing ongoing feedback on performance. The Supervisor will combine both patient care and Intake support which will require participating with the on-call rotation with staff. Direct patient care will consist of at least 50% of the FTE in this role. The Supervisor will work closely with the Program Coordinator and Medical Director on program development, regulatory compliance, quality improvement and staffing optimization. (009664)
Department: Psychiatry and Psychology
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, addiction studies, or other related field with 2-5 years experience as a LADC counselor in both inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment programs. Minnesota Licensure as an LADC required.
Other Qualifications: Must have demonstrated leadership, and clinical counselor practice abilities. Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively among various healthcare professionals. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other related field preferred. Experience with DSM-IV diagnostic criteria is preferred. Thorough knowledge of ASAM dimensional criteria. Additional progressive responsibility in lead or supervisory roles preferred.
