Clinical Nurse Specialist-Psych[0.8.0 FTE] Job

Description
Responsible for evaluations and medication management in primary care and at Generose. The CNS works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and facilitate favorable outcomes in a designated specialty practice. The CNS functions as a leader in the roles of care provider, educator, consultant, and researcher, and is an active participant in the collaborative practice framework. (008112)
Department: Psychiatry and Psychology
Basic Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program. Masters Degree with a major in nursing with a clinical nurse specialist focus. Five years of successful work experience in nursing with two years in the specialty area. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency. Has obtained prescriptive authority in the State of Minnesota, if required by department/division. Current RN license to practice in Minnesota. Certification in designated specialty by a nationally recognized body deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
Other Qualifications: Experience as a CNS preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient needs and CNS workload. Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting. Able to manage time and stress effectively.
