		<title>Senior Analyst/Programmer  Job (Rochester, MN, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Description<br/><br/>The Scheduling Systems Unit, within the Mayo Integrated Clinical Systems (MICS), oversees multiple systems that facilitate appointment making for our patients, doctors, facilities & calendars. These comprehensive systems, highly unique in the industry, account for preferences, prerequisites, & availabilities while they serve the appointment-making needs of thousands of users daily. The Unit is actively developing new software to replace our custom legacy scheduling system with an expanded system designed & developed internally with modern technologies. Join our existing professional team to help facilitate this migration & subsequent enhancements. The environment will include Java, JSP, ColdFusion, C++, SQL, WebSphere, & other development technologies. Requires active participation in this migration using software analysis, development, support, on-call, & problem-resolution skills. Maintaining a very high level of software quality is essential to supporting the needs of our patients, physicians, & other care providers. This is a technically based position that will require the ability to gain practical & general knowledge concerning all aspects of the Mayo Scheduling System. (004510)<br/><br/><b>Department:</b> Information Technology<br/><br/><b>Basic <b>Qualifications:</b></b> A Bachelor's degree & 3 years of professional technical development experience; or an Associate's degree & 5 years professional technical development experience; or 9 years of professional technical development experience. 2 years of JAVA development experience.<br/><br/>Other Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 1-3 years of Websphere & 1-3 years of SQL in a client/server environment. Experience in JSP, RAD7, ColdFusion, DB2, Sybase, AIX, C++, CVS or a similar source code control package, & Mercury Quality Center or a similar requirements/change tracking package. Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project & Access are desired. Demonstrate the ability to design, initiate & implement innovative solutions to solve a business need are preferred. Proven ability to work independently as well as function as part of a cohesive team, have the ability to learn technology & process flows quickly, & show personal initiative in handling assigned tasks. Must possess strong analytical, design & software development skills such as performing analysis of user needs, creating software designs, developing software solutions, & providing post implementation support in a corporate environment. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal & written communication skills are necessary.
